BVRA Annual General Meeting
Voting Eligibility:
The Annual General Meeting is a required annual event, normally held as promptly as possible after financial statements and tax returns have been prepared.
Under BVRA rules the AGM is a General
Attendance:
- The AGM is open to all eligible members of the Association to attended, either in person or by proxy.
- A quorum of fifty percent of members eligible to vote must be present or otherwise represented by proxy.
- Owners must have paid their levy in full to be eligible to attend
- Where there is more than one owner per Lot, only one owner is eligible to vote.
The purpose of the meeting is to:
- Elect a committee to manage the society for the ensuing financial year
- Provide members with information about the past year
- Give updates on the society's current financial status and to advise about changes to annual levies
- Table and seek approval of the 2025/6 FY financial statements
- Outline any plans for the upcoming year
- Seek direction from members regarding issues of concern to the outgoing committee
- Address other business as previously advised to and included in the agenda by the Secretary
