BVRA Annual General Meeting


Voting Eligibility:

The Annual General Meeting is a required annual event, normally held as promptly as possible after financial statements and tax returns have been prepared.
Under BVRA rules the AGM is a General


Attendance:

  • The AGM is open to all eligible members of the Association to attended, either in person or by proxy.
  • A quorum of fifty percent of members eligible to vote must be present or otherwise represented by proxy.
  • Owners must have paid their levy in full to be eligible to attend
  • Where there is more than one owner per Lot, only one owner is eligible to vote.

The purpose of the meeting is to:

  • Elect a committee to manage the society for the ensuing financial year
  • Provide members with information about the past year
  • Give updates on the society's current financial status and to advise about changes to annual levies
  • Table and seek approval of the 2025/6 FY financial statements
  • Outline any plans for the upcoming year
  • Seek direction from members regarding issues of concern to the outgoing committee
  • Address other business as previously advised to and included in the agenda by the Secretary
